Ruby Knight Branded, Oiled, and Grooved 12”x8”x3/4” Cutting Board

A beautiful cheery wood cutting board that has already been oiled, ready to be used for all of your BBQ needs. It is grooved to catch any juices from cutting meats, as well as branded with the logo of the Ruby Knight! The size is 12”x8”x3/4x, making it very useful for quick chopping and cutting of most meat, fruit, and vegetable varieties.

As we know now, plastic cutting boards are harmful because they release microplastics when cutting on them. This is a wonderful replacement or upgrade to a plastic cutting board selection.

Why does it matter if it is oiled?

Firstly, the colour of the wood is amplified, and becomes more visually stunning.

Food safety is improved because oil creates a protective barrier that helps prevent bacteria from penetrating the wood's pores. This makes oiled boards more hygienic than untreated wood. For example, cutting raw meat on a cutting board. The raw meat juices penetrate the board when there is no protective barrier.

Longevity is significantly extended when you regularly oil your cutting board. The oil prevents the wood from drying out, cracking, and splitting over time, which means your board will last much longer with proper care.

Appearance stays better maintained. Oiling keeps the wood looking rich and vibrant rather than becoming dull, gray, and weathered. It restores the natural beauty of the wood and prevents it from looking aged and worn.

Water resistance improves with oiling. Since oil repels water, an oiled board is less likely to absorb excess moisture, which can cause warping, swelling, and mold growth.

Easier maintenance is another advantage. Oiled boards are simpler to clean — you just wipe them down with soap and water, and the oil helps food particles slide off more easily.
